Carla J. Hartung is the principal of Bottom Line Consulting, LLC. She is a senior consultant with over 20 years of information technology experience with Fortune 500 companies.

Carla began her career in 1981 with the IBM Corporation where she was employed for 16 years in software product development and consulting services.  She is very experienced in the software development life cycle, from requirements definition through design, implementation and deployment. She is also an experienced IBM client/server consultant and project manager  working on-site with customers such as:

  • Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation

  • Depository Trust Company

  • Campbell Soup Company

  • NYNEX Telephone Company

  • Cornell University

In 1997, Carla left IBM to start her own business as an independent consultant. She specializes in LIMS consulting and has worked with companies in a variety of industries --

Carla's consulting experience spans research and development, manufacturing, commercial testing laboratories, higher education, government, and FDA regulated environments. She is familiar with quality standards such as ASTM E-1578, ISO, 21 CFR Part 11, and GxP as well as industry specific standards such as ASCLD and AAVLD.

Carla primarily concentrates on providing laboratory information management systems (LIMS) consulting and she is certified in LabWare LIMS.
